about

A rendition of a song originally by Thin White Rope, released on their "Sack Full Of Silver" album. An unjustly, most certainly forgotten band. Even in their heyday in the late 1980s/early 1990s they didn't ever get the recognition they deserved. Widely ignored in their home country, the US, quite a cult following in Europe, they never really got beyond the threshold of success. They've been formative I'd say for what I've been doing when still playing in an electric band, maybe even today in my approach of songwriting. Like "Lily Of The West" we used to perform this song in an acoustic lineup many years ago. This and the - again unintended - fact both songs are pretty much what they call Americana these days, make a perfect match I'd say. Well, my opinion.

There's some weird coincidences of particularly these two songs ending up as a release here and now. According to what I read in an interview with Guy Kyser, god knows where, this song is about or an incident involving a Swedish lake.

Some explanatory words about this release you will find on my website.
